Brett Steel

Brett had his first screenplay After You’ve Gone produced on 16mm film at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He is a journalism graduate from the University of South Australia and studied screenwriting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney. He ventured overseas to London to work for the BBC and the UK Film Council and then spent several years working as an editor in publishing on The Strand in London and in Melbourne. He has worked at the Sydney Opera House as a marketing specialist on international productions Good Morning Mr Gershwin (Compagnie Montalvo-Hervieu) and Political Mother (Hofesh Shechter) among others. He is adapting a feature screenplay from a HarperCollins biography and has his first television series in development. He is also studying a Masters in Teaching English Literature and History at the University of Newcastle.
