Brett Steel
Brett had his first screenplay After You’ve Gone produced on 16mm film at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He is a journalism graduate from the University of South Australia and studied screenwriting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School in Sydney. He ventured overseas to London to work for the BBC and the UK Film Council and then spent several years working as an editor in publishing on The Strand in London and in Melbourne, before working at the Sydney Opera House. Most recently he has been on the set of Netflix production The Survivors, adapted from the novel by Jane Harper and produced by Tony Ayers. He is adapting a feature screenplay from a HarperCollins biography and has his first television series in development. He is also studying a Masters in Teaching English Literature and History at the University of Newcastle.
